The Digitalization
The best way to be prepared for changes it to study. Currently we have a big number of students with special needs that need to catch up with the latest trends in digitalisation of the society, that means navigation with the e-government websites, mastering basic digital skills and having confidence in the digital future.
What the Objective?
The main objective of our project(s) is the creation/launch of an online academy for disadvantaged groups of people. The path to the digitalization and the acquiring of “marketable skills” is very important especially among people with disabilities, elderly people, and may other groups. Giving the essential skill set to join the professional world is a very important step in resocialization of the disadvantaged groups, thus increasing their independency from the social system and giving these people a living standard that can match an average middle-class person.
Digitalization – what does it actually mean?
Digital skills are big “Buzz Words” with a very deep meaning. You can have skills in MS Word or any other text processing software, you can use an internet browser, does it actually mean that you have digital skills? The answer is simply “NO”, knowing how to operate a phone, tablet or PC is not a digital skill in 2022. At least not one that will make you find a decent job.
Digital skills or digital marketable skills are changing with the digital landscape we are living in today. However, there are foundations and base skills that we can teach. The student will have a much higher chance to find employment, the student will be able to work online and most likely earn above the average.
The most “profitable” digital skills according to “fiverr.com” are:

- Photoshop Editing
- Different Graphics Design and Editing
- Quality Assurance/Software Testing

The Implementation:
As COVID showed us - the classroom and tutor-based education has its troubles. In the times free from pandemic it’s not easy to get people into a class room. Even harder to make them study.
What we are offering a structured online curriculum that will have a set of digital lectures including basic assessment lectures, social and interview skills as well as a range of professional lectures covering the most market-desired digital skills on job market today.
The most important thing is the lector becomes the student’s Mentor. While the student can study and take tests at his/her convenience, the Mentor will assist the student in applying to jobs, registering at online job platforms and ultimately succeeding in finding a career in the digital world.
